I love Cass Art, an art shop with tons of goodies that make me want try all sorts of new projects! So, I'm really excited to say that I've teamed up with them. I am teaching a workshop at their Flagship store in Islington on Saturday 24th September, from 3pm-4:30pm. Tickets are available now.
In the class you will learn how to use a pointed dip pen and a bottle of ink to create beautifully elegant modern calligraphy.
I'll guide you through the very basics, from understanding how the pen works; how best to hold it; to mark making exercises that will help you master the pen; to forming modern calligraphy letterforms and building up to creating modern calligraphy joined up letters to form words.
This workshop is open to complete beginners. But, if you have already completed my brush lettering or brush pen and watercolour calligraphy workshops, you're also welcome to attend, as you'll be learning a whole new set of skills!
